Scott & Chrystal Carroll

Lead Planter, Evangelism & Discipleship Pastor

Scott & Chrystal Carroll were born and raised in Nova Scotia.  They didn’t grow up with a confident understand of who God is and they both came to faith in their 20s.  Scott’s radical transformation and passion for the lost coupled with Chrystal’s love of service and gifts in administration are a perfect combination for church planting and ministry. Previous to full-time ministry, Scott served in the military for 11 years while Chrystal has held various positions in the administrative field over the past 25 years. For the last 11 years they have served in ministry, both planting and leading an existing church.  They are passionate about homeschooling their adolescent children, enjoy family time with pizza and movie, and pretty much like anything sports related. Scott is bi-vocational and is presently working at a local landscaping company in management.  Chrystal also works part-time at a local dance studio where she uses her administrative gifts. Community involvement is very important to their family.  Their kids are active in sports and dance, and Scott can often be found officiating baseball or hockey.  Scott has a heart to serve first responders and considers it a great honour to be a Chaplain with the local RCMP detachment.  They both have a deep passion to see individuals, as well as married couples, living and walking in the fullness of Christ.

Tim & Dorilee Milner

Worship & Teaching Pastor

Tim & Dorilee Milner have led worship together from the very beginning of their friendship as freshmen in Bible college. Together they have grown a ministry devoted to raising the quality of worship and music in the local church by equipping teams and leaders to re-think their focus and the purpose of true worship. The Milners' passion is for churches to embrace worship that is rooted in Scripture, Spirit-aware, and Christ-centred. Tim and Dorilee offer worship workshops for teams and leaders interested in developing musical excellence, theological understanding, and structural direction. They also offer consulting, and one-on-one coaching for worship leaders. When not co-leading at Resurrection Church with the Carrolls, Tim is songwriter and recording artist. He serves as the Dean of Chapel at Crandall University, where he directs the worship ministry minor. Dorilee has years of experience leading worship herself, from women's conferences to pastoral events.

The Christian and Missionary Alliance

Rez Church is a Christian and Missionary Alliance new venture.  The C&MA was founded in the 1880s, and is committed to Jesus and his mission. We are a group of approximately 440 local churches in Canada, and we send people to live on mission locally and globally.  We aim to be a Christ-centred, Spirit-empowered, Mission-focused movement in everything that we do.

C2C Collective

Rez Church is partnered with C2C Collective.

"C2C collective is a relatively young movement that was birthed in the Mennonite Brethren denomination in British Columbia and was first known as 'Church Planting BC.' C2C has since grown to be a cross-denominational, national network that serves over 30 evangelical denominations, networks, and mission agencies; we partner together to plant Gospel-Centered, Spirit-Led, Mission-Focused churches. Recognizing that no single denomination will be able to reach Canada alone, we believe we are stronger when we work together; therefore C2C is unapologetically interdenominational.  C2C is able to offer support to a growing number of denominations, helping them to assess, train, and coach church planters. C2C also raises funds in order to financially support these planters."
